Travelling to Ghent
Ghent, with its location in Belgium, is easily accessible from different parts of Europe and the world. Airports in Brussels (Zaventem), Charleroi and Oostende are directly connected to Ghent either by train or by bus. Train connections to Brussel Zuid/Bruxelles Midi train station, from where direct trains to Ghent depart very frequently, make train travel very convenient, including on TGV and Eurostar lines. The main, better connected train station is Ghent Sint-Pieters, with Ghent Dampoort being a smaller, secondary train station, but also not far from the city center.
When travelling from Brussels South (Brussel Zuid / Bruxelles Midi) to Ghent, pay attention to the train that you take. Fast trains that reach Ghent in under 30 minutes have a final destination to Oostende or Blankenberge. Trains with a final destination to Ghent Sint-Pieters make several stops between Brussels and Ghent, and take closer to one hour.
Accommodation
Ghent offers a variety of accomodation options, either in hotels or in rented apartments or houses. It is advised to book at the earliest convenience. Below you will find a list of hotels in Ghent that are within walking distance of the conference venue.
